One year later, still no Human Rights in Cuba

A year ago, with the usual fawning by the MSM and pro-Castro idiots, Cuba signed the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, and the International Covenant on Civil and Personal Rights. 

They were never implemented, and meanwhile back on the island prison Human Rights abuses continue to escalate, from Cubanet: 

• Three dissidents lost their government jobs for participation in a protest.

• Seventeen religious pilgrims were prevented from boarding a ferry and threatened.

• Two aspiring journalists were detained by police.

• Independent librarians were threatened with arrest and prison by state security.

• Pedicab driver sentenced to 22 months in jail for working without a license.

• Police searches and checks increase in Pinar del Río.

• Ex-government official harassed and threatened.
